Our vision is that learning should foster intrigue and interest during the critical phase of a child's life. Above all, to create a caring atmosphere where children feel liberated and inspired to learn and make friends .By nurturing them as individuals, we enhance their exclusive talents and raise their confidence and interest in the process of learning. Here at Yellow Bees, we believe children develop and progress best in an environment in which they feel cared for and secure much like a caring ‘home from home’ environment. For that reason, we are ensuring we keep that homely feel. We also feel it is important that each room layout will encourage children’s natural in-built curiosity and desire to explore.
We will work our hardest to be as fully inclusive as possible and expect all staff to be committed to our inclusive practice policy. We endeavour to make every effort to fully enable all children to participate in each part of the day and every activity. To meet the needs of individual children and to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to learn through a way that is interesting and most appropriate to them. The nursery has a Special educational Needs and Inclusion Policy along with an appointed Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO). The SENCOs role is to support you and your child. In some cases, the SENCO will meet with parents/carers, and may write an Individual Education Plan to ensure individual needs are met.
We have a Behaviour Management Policy in place and a named Behaviour Co-ordinator (BECO). Their role is to support staff and parents who have any concerns about a child’s behaviour. This member of staff will continue to receive training that is appropriate to their needs and keeps them updated on current practice, this training is then cascaded to the rest of our staff team. The behaviour strategies implemented here at Yellow Bees are those of KHDA'’s framework for intervention. This framework looks at the environment for triggers effecting behaviours. The behaviour is monitored and recorded using the relevant paperwork.
All of our staff have been and will continual to be carefully selected for their caring personalities and passion to care for and teach children. Each new member of staff will undertake a probationary period in which they are mentored. This enables us to ensure they have the right qualities and that we keep the highest standards.
It is important to us that all our staff has child development knowledge and is positive role models; they are generally caring and considerate to others and encourage good manners and social skills.
All staff has to have Enhanced Police Checks, and undergo a rigid recruitment procedure. All staff receives ongoing Safeguarding, first aid, food hygiene and health and safety training along with ongoing supervision reviews to discourse personal and professional development. At all times there will be a trained First Aider and Health and Safety person at the nursery. Staff will have individual responsibilities, some in Special Educational Needs, Inclusion, Equal Opportunity, Safeguarding and Behaviour Management. Staff are continually encouraged to attend on-going training and keep up to date with government recommendations.
Even though we have CCTV cameras through the nursery no member of staff will be left alone with the children and mobile phones and personal cameras are not allowed to be used by the staff in the nursery. There will be further staff information on our staff board. Your parent room information board will tell you about the staff caring for your child and please do not hesitate to ask any questions.
We are registered with Ministry of Social affairs and will be inspected by the relavant authorities on a regular basis to ensure high Standard care are maintained. We will also be inspected by the Municipality and the fire department to ensure the maintenance of high standards are kept.
